just like the early morning of yesterday
worst than waking up in the wrong side of bed
those same words i hear
the words of failure and discouragement

my father can’t seem to understand
the reason behind this present world
my world of sublime insecurity
he now foretell the days to be

no future for me he says
i guess i’m just nobody today
so i stay up late at night
